Process Engineer
The Process Engineer is responsible for leading the development and optimization of manufacturing processes and practices to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement of the facilities and supporting processes.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required:
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing industries, providing sustainable solutions and continuous improvement for an organization preferred
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with an ability and desire to communicate well in both written and verbal forms.
• Must be will and able to travel 30% of the time.
• Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable utilizing systems for operations and maintenance
As a member of the engineering team, the process engineer has a significant role in the Quality Process.
- Anticipate problems by becoming more familiar with processes – spending time on the floor, inspecting lines regularly, learning from plant personnel, tracking and analyze process conditions and supporting production reports, and making the necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy of data.
- Develops, trains, and audits standardized work to support manufacturing practices.
Safety:
- Completion of HSE Compliance Training
- Active employee engagement through a Safety Committee
- Completion of behavioral observations
The process engineer as a member of the engineering team has a strategic role in the Capacity and Growth goals.
- Implements lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Establish consistent processes using a collaborative approach with manufacturing and engineering personnel.
- Leads the development and optimization of OEE processes and practices for their facility
- Participate in product development through process concepts and tools and line coverage.
- Develop methods to communicate with key stakeholders and develop methods to train employees for gaps identified.
