General Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in Mexico. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting global financial operations. The Accountant will report directly to the Controller and collaborate closely with senior management and the Global Finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record daily financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics, including cash flow entries.
  • Input historical financial data into Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Manage regulatory filings and tax compliance for Mexican operations.
  • Oversee employee tax requirements in coordination with HR.
  • Collaborate with the Treasurer on tax compliance and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Support audits for domestic and international operations.
  • Continuously improve financial processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Assist with job costing, project accounting, and contract financial management.
  • Work cross-functionally with project managers, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Support accounts receivable with invoicing and collections.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Auditing experience with an international firm preferred.
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience with international operations, foreign exchange, and compliance.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English (required).
  • Proficiency in IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP strongly preferred.
