A growing industrial organization located in Veracruz, committed to operational excellence, safety, and sustainability. As part of its expansion, the company is creating a new HSE department to unify processes and elevate safety standards across all sites. The name of the company is confidential, but the role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead a strategic function from the ground up.

Tu nuevo cargo

As Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all occupational health, industrial safety, and environmental programs across the organization. You will lead a team (including a Safety Supervisor and at least 4 direct reports), support operations and maintenance, and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
You will:
  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and risk prevention programs.
  • Ensure compliance with STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Lead internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Manage KPIs: zero accidents, zero fatalities, reduction of first-risk incidents.
  • Coordinate training programs and emergency response drills.
  • Collaborate with all departments to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Support all company sites, with full-time presence in Veracruz (Monday–Saturday, 9am–5pm, available 24/7).
You will report either to the General Director or Finance Director (to be confirmed), and work closely with corporate HSE specialists based in Geneva.

Que necesitas para ser exitoso

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields. A Master’s or specialization in HSE is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years in HSE roles.
    • At least 5 years leading an HSE department with full responsibility.
    • Experience in logistics, port operations, container handling, or transportation industries.
  • Certifications: Internal Auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), Internal Instructor. External certifications are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced Excel and Power BI.
    • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
    • Deep knowledge of HSE regulations and risk analysis tools (IPERC, HAZOP, AMEF).
    • Fluent Spanish and advanced English.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to work on-site in Veracruz.
    • No relocation support.
    • Criminal background clearance letter required.
