Your new role

The role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all station operations within the designated service area, including oversight of associated Ground Service Providers (GSPs), to ensure optimal customer service, timely aircraft departures, and efficient, cost-effective station performance. Key responsibilities include selecting, training, developing, and motivating managerial personnel; managing workforce resources through strategic scheduling and budgeting to maximize productivity; and monitoring daily station performance metrics. The position requires coordination with multiple departments such as system control, hub operations, station management, vehicle and ground administration, and aircraft maintenance to ensure seamless operational integration. It also involves managing trucking procedures during emergencies, adverse weather conditions, or capacity limitations, and implementing contingency plans for equipment failures. The role demands staying current with and ensuring compliance with FedEx policies, government regulations, and lease agreements, while maintaining strict security protocols for both FedEx and customer assets. Additionally, the manager is responsible for ensuring that all subordinate personnel adhere to operational standards and performance expectations.
