As a Buyer – Raw Materials (North America), you will lead all sourcing and supplier‑management activities for key chemical raw materials across the region. In this highly strategic role, you will negotiate corporate‑wide purchasing agreements, execute procurement strategies aligned with Product Development Labs, ensure supply continuity, and drive cost optimization initiatives. You will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing sites, technical teams, and global leadership to influence decisions, solve problems, and secure the best total cost of ownership for the business.
This position is a unique opportunity to shape the raw material strategy for a global organization while developing expertise in procurement, chemicals, and global supply management.

To thrive and deliver strong results in this role, you will need:
✔ Deep Procurement Expertise
  • 3–5 years of experience purchasing chemical raw materials.
  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and supply‑chain dynamics.
✔ Analytical & Strategic Thinking
  • Ability to conduct cost/price analysis, make‑or‑buy decisions, and assess supplier capabilities.
  • Creative problem-solving and a proactive mindset to identify risks, value opportunities, and alternatives.
✔ Supplier Leadership
  • Negotiation skills for contracts, pricing, commercial terms, and settlements.
  • Ability to manage complex supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
✔ Communication & Judgment
  • Excellent communication skills for influencing interesadas, presenting data, and building strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage competing business needs.
✔ Technical Tools & Systems
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERPs.
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced level).
  • Understanding of logistics, inventory control, and commodity market principles.
