Cisco Network Engineer L1

As a Cisco Network Engineer at Level 1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure. You’ll work closely with other team members to ensure seamless network operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
Responsibilities:
  1. Network Configuration and Maintenance:
    • Configure and install various network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
    • Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as applying service packs, patches, and security configurations.
    • Monitor network performance and security to identify and resolve issues promptly.

  1. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
    • Analyze existing hardware, software, and networking systems.
    • Test and troubleshoot installed Cisco Systems.
    • Resolve technical issues related to networks, hardware, and software.

  1. Scalable Network Implementation:
    • Create and implement scalable Cisco networks based on client specifications.
    • Ensure network scalability and reliability to accommodate future growth.

  1. Speed and Security Testing:
    • Conduct speed tests to evaluate network performance.
    • Implement security measures to safeguard network integrity.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with Cisco networking products.
    • Basic understanding of LANs, WANs, and IP addressing.
    • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
    • Ability to work with routers, switches, and end devices.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues.
