As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the strategic procurement of raw materials and indirect supplies essential for the production of packaging inks. You will manage purchasing activities across multiple plants, lead procurement projects, and collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing.
This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical skills, chemical industry experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement of raw materials such as resins, solvents, plastics, and chemicals used in ink production.
  • Place and follow up on purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery aligned with production needs.
  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Labs (PDL) and technical teams to align sourcing with innovation goals.
  • Maintain market intelligence and report on pricing trends and risks.
  • Support global procurement initiatives and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues and optimize inventory.
  • Participate in make-or-buy decisions and supplier capability assessments.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, International Compañía, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years minimum in direct procurement within the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Language: English proficiency at C1 or C2 level.
  • Systems: Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel; familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., SNOOTHS).
  • Commodities: Proven experience purchasing chemical raw materials, including inks, resins, solvents, and plastics.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of procurement priorities.
    • Self-starter with leadership potential and problem-solving mindset.
    • Excellent communication and adaptability to change.
